OUR 2025 SPACE SCIENCE SAMPLER INSTRUCTOR

BS Civil Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
BS Literature, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
MA Film Studies, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Greg has been leading our Super Science Sampler since 2021. This summer he is passing the torch to Elisa Guzman, but wait, there’s more. He is hatching our first ever Space Science Sampler and we are planning on a collaboration with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics! Many parents have told us that the young ones in their family love space science and we promise that this Sampler will be out of this world.
PS Last summer Greg had sell-out weeks and all families gave him a 9 or 10 out 10.
Both Samplers are designed for rising 3rd – 5th graders. Each offers a unique mix of activities, demonstrations, and projects. For example, both include chemistry, but with different experiments. The Samplers are not sequential—each one stands on its own—so your child can enjoy them in any order!

“Edge on Science takes science off the page and puts it into the hands of your child.”
– Rondalyn Whitney, mom
“Edge on Science has been a wonderful learning experience for my grandson. He has enjoyed every minute of it (rocketry & bridge building).”
– Carole Bradley, grandmother
“Edge on Science went above and beyond to make sure our spring break program was fun and interesting. Well prepared!”
– Bernadette Kegan, program director, Acton-Boxborough School District
All the Super Science Sampler activities are designed to expand your child’s knowledge and skills, all while having fun and making new friends. Many modules have an outdoor component, taking advantage of the majestic open spaces and beautiful landscape of Lasell University. Mid-morning and afternoon we take a 20-minute recess and get outside for some good old fashioned play time. Games, challenges and the freedom to explore add to the fun!
Insatiable curiosity—it comes naturally to a young child. The Super Science Sampler is based on a self-determination theory in education, where children own the science! Every day brings something new, engaging your young one and keeping things active. Doing. Exploring. Tinkering. Building. Experimenting. Making new friends and having fun!
